Ron Duke, CEO & CFO – Ron is an accomplished executive with global financial, operating and turnaround experience in public and private companies in business-to-consumer online services, e-commerce, retailing, franchising, manufacturing, distribution and financial services. Since joining Lavalife as CFO in 1998, Ron has been a key member of the Company’s executive team which added high-growth web and mobile-based dating products to its original voice business. His business background includes successfully driving reverse takeovers, corporate restructurings, and restoring profitability through turnaround activities. Ron is a Director on the board of the Daily Bread Food Bank. Ron is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Andrew Osmak, SVP, Mobile & Business Development– Andrew is responsible for establishing business development partnerships for all of Lavalife’s channels, as well as managing the growth and profitability of the mobile channel. Andrew joined the Company in 2003 with a mandate to leverage existing assets into new businesses. In this role Andrew launched Lavalife’s mobile business, which is now in its sixth year of operations. Before joining Lavalife, Andrew worked with several venture funded internet start-ups in the Bay Area where his duties included planning, securing funding, early revenue generation and exits. Andrew originally came from the financial services industry with experience in both retail banking and institutional equity sales. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, London, Canada.
Jason Sikora, VP, Web – Jason is responsible for managing the growth and profitability of the web channel, as well as overseeing the in-house creative services team. Prior to joining Lavalife in 2007, Jason was Director, Strategic Planning, at Grey Worldwide. Jason has expertise in integrated marketing in multiple disciplines as well as extensive international marketing communications experience focused on customer acquisition, activation and retention strategies. Jason is a Certified Advertising Agency Practitioner and holds a Creative Advertising Diploma from the Centennial College of Applied Arts & Technology, Toronto, Canada. He is also a board member of the Interactive Advertising Board Canada (IAB Canada).
Lally Rementilla, VP, Finance – Lally is responsible for the finance and business intelligence functions, as well as helping ensure the company’s strategic and operating efficiency. She is also in charge of managing lavalifePRIME. Prior to joining the company in 2003, Lally was Area Vice-President, Finance and Contract Management at Lucent Technologies Canada Inc., where she held a variety of progressive positions in finance, business management and sales support. Lally is also an active member on boards of both for-profit and non-for-profit organizations in Canada’s media and communications industries. Lally is a Certified Management Accountant and holds an MBA from York University, North York, Canada and a BA in Communications from Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines.
Cecil Chandless, VP, Law – Cecil is responsible for all legal matters relating to the company, as well as security and privacy issues. Cecil joined Lavalife in 1998 as General Counsel & Secretary. Cecil has also worked in both the US and Canada as in-house counsel for companies such as Abitibi-Consolidated Inc. and Azerty Incorporated. Cecil was called to the Ontario Bar in 1992 and holds an LL.B. from the University of Windsor, Canada and a J.D. from the University of Detroit.
Elizabeth Wetzel, Director, Ad Sales – Elizabeth is responsible for driving advertising sales revenues across all of Lavalife's properties. Elizabeth has more than ten years experience in online advertising sales and strategy and has worked with clients such as RBC Insurance and Holt Renfrew. Prior to joining Lavalife in 2006, Elizabeth was the Director of Sales and Strategy, Interactive for MGT Communications and was Ad Sales Director for Toronto Life magazine. Elizabeth has a BA (Hons) in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario, London, Canada.
Karen Hannah, Director, Voice - Karen is responsible for managing the growth and profitability of the Voice platform in North America. Karen joined Lavalife in 2005 and has consistently applied her marketing knowledge to further strengthen the company’s ability to acquire, convert and retain members. Prior to joining Lavalife, Karen worked in consumer and product marketing with a leading greeting card retailer, Carlton Cards, the Canadian subsidiary of American Greetings. Karen holds an MBA with specialization in Marketing from York University, Toronto, Canada and a BA from University of Toronto, Canada.
Jamie Murphy, Director, Human Resources – Jamie is responsible for the human resources function at Lavalife. He works closely with senior business leaders to drive, develop, manage and implement human resource solutions to meet business objectives. Prior to joining Lavalife in 2002, Jamie was an HR Generalist at The Hospital for Sick Children Foundation. Jamie has a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
